Uncontrolled, it can cause a heart attack, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">stroke<\/span>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">kidney failure<\/span>, vision problems and other critical health problems. One in three Americans is under its grip, according to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nhlbi.nih.gov\/health\/dci\/Diseases\/Hbp\/HBP_WhatIs.html\" target=\"_blank\">National Heart and Lung Institute<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hypertension\" target=\"_blank\">high blood pressure<\/a>, and chances are, either you\u2014or someone you know\u2014has it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Diet, exercise and medication are tools that can help <em>control<\/em> high blood pressure, doctors tell us.
