Jeanne Ball reports in the Huffington Post about a recent national conference, entitled “Women, Violence and Meditation<\/a>,” hosted by the David Lynch Foundation’s “Operation Warrior Wellness<\/a>.”<\/p>\n <\/br> Soledad O'Brien<\/p><\/div>CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien<\/a> was conference chair, in the company of a distinguished panel of women gathering to explore the use of meditation to heal anxiety, depression and suicidal tendencies in women and girls who have suffered trauma. The conference’s main focus was the scientific research<\/a> and ongoing studies on the Transcendental Meditation<\/a> technique as a means of alleviating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).<\/p>\n ________________________________________________________<\/p>\n Violence against women plagues American society and women worldwide.
